February 2011: Netley Grove Retirement Village goes Solar! All 58 houses in the village will have solar panels installed on the roof this month. Depending on the aspect of the unit the eight panels per unit are being installed on the sunny northern or western sides. Residents' may choose to hire the service via a contract with the provider in which case, after connecting into the power grid, effective power savings are expected.

The Karidis Corporation Ltd began construction of the Netley Grove Retirement Village consisting of 58 units and a Community Centre in 2003. The village is ideally placed only 9 kms from the centre of Adelaide and has direct access to public transport and shopping. The first residents (Unit 49) took up residence in 2004. Construction was completed in 2007 and the village currently has about 80 residents.

A feature of the complex is the Community Centre which can be utilized for village meetings and activities. Residents' can also arrange to hold functions in the Centre by complying with the rules of the Administering Authority which include booking the date and time of the function in the "Bookings Book". It is certainly a great venue for birthday parties, film nights, concerts and indoor bowls.

The Center has an outdoor swimming pool and spa. "Outdoor" because it is under an enclosed porch rather than inside the main building. There is a small gym and consulting room currently used by the hairdresser.
In November 2008 it was the 4th Anniversary of the opening of Netley Grove and following
